(More customer reviews)I've been using proactiv for two years now and like any other skin care products, everyone's skin will respond differently. the first time I bought and tried proactiv, it irriated my skin leaving it dried and flaky plus gave me more pimples than before. when using the refining mask(all over my face) for the first two weeks, it burnt my face a lot. Ibelieve it was due to the dryness and flakyness from washing my face.I was thinking about contacting their representative and get my money back, but because knowing i will have to go through a lot of bs just to get it back, I decided not to call.I didn't want my money go to waste, so I continue using it. by the end of the first month going to the second month, the skin irritation went away and so as the flakyness and dryness for washing my face once a day. as for the refining mask, after the two weeks of burnt skin, i decided to only apply it on to pimples. by the end of the second month, i notice my blemish were going away and less pimple growing. after my firt month of supply ran out, I decided to reorder again one last shot to see if it's really working. and what do you know, it really did work. for two years I haven't have any serious break outs, well only one or two pimplesif I forget to wash my face twice a day,but there's always the refining mask.I really like their products, especially the lightening lotion, my past pimple scars are no longer noticeable. Like i said, when using proactiv, everyone's skin will respond differently, but you have to have patient and give it some time to see results. by the way, if you do end up breaking out some more on you first trial, it's probably because your skin is trying to adjust to their product, when switching from one skin care product to another. It took me almost two months to finally see results, but in the end, I definitely saw dramatic results.

Why is it different: The renewing cleanser is formulated with prescription-grade benzoyl peroxide in an oil-free formula. The repairing lotion is formulated with 2.5% benzoyl peroxide in a gentle, creamy formula that won't dry, strip, or irritate the skin. The refining mask adds an additional proven acne-fighting medicine, sulfur, to the powerful three-step system to help deep clean, soothe, and calm the skin while addressing blemishes. Always wear a sunscreen when going outside. Avoid eye area. How do I use it: Start with the renewing cleanser, morning and night. Apply a small, dime-size amount to dampened skin and gently massage, avoiding the eye area. Rinse thoroughly with warm water and pat dry. Apply the revitalizing toner to skin with a cotton ball or pad, morning and night. Allow to dry. Follow by applying a thin layer of repairing lotion to clean skin, morning and night. Allow to dry.
