It has no offensive smell and when rubbed into the feet, softens like you can't imagine. Be sure to use both hands because it also softens your hands while you are massaging the feet. I use this at night and wear light cotton socks to bed, for intensive healing and moisturizing. Don't be like me, though, and keep the cream on your bedside table instead of using it on your feet. If you do, you may find the skin will dry out and callouses will develop, then you'll need to invest in a PediEgg and start anew with the treatments. The glycolic and alpha hydroxy acids in this cream definitely exfoliate and the botanicals soften the skin. This is a winning combination in caring for problem feet.
